FA Cup First Round

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Norton United and Blyth Spartans are looking forward to collecting £12,500 in television fees after the schedules for the FA Cup's First Round were agreed by the Football Association with BBC TV and BT Sport on Thursday.

Both clubs will bank the TV windfall after their ties were among eight switched to Sunday to be shown on a special FA Cup Final Score programme from 1.55pm on BBC1 and later on a highlights show on BBC2 from 6.30pm.

Norton are at home to Conference Premier Gateshead while Spartans host another Conference Premier side in Altrincham as BBC TV returns to cover the FA Cup for the first time since 2008.

The EVO-STIK NPL's Warrington Town will bank this season's TV jackpot after their clash with Exeter City was chosen to be shown live on BBC2's Match of the Day Live on Friday night, netting the First Division North's Wire a £67,500 fee.[/b]

The BBC’s FA Cup coverage over the weekend also includes a special Football Focus on Saturday 8 November live from Weston-Super-Mare while BT Sport kick off their coverage this season with two live games - FC Halifax Town v Bradford City and Havant & Waterlooville v Preston North End.
