Bostik Club of the Month Awards

Curzon Ashton manager John Flanagan won't be short of a drink to toast his side's continuing success this season after collecting the club's inaugural Bostik Club of the Month Award.

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Secretary Angie Firth is pictured presenting Flanagan with the club's reward for their great start to the First Division North campaign, an inscribed certificate recording their achievement and a 4.5 litre bottle of Bells Whiskey.

Tameside's league leaders won all four of their opening games to earn the award which is sponsored by Bostik, the parent company of league title sponsors Evo-Stik, and were honoured before their 3-2 over Bamber Bridge.

September's trio of winning clubs were named on Monday as Worksop Town in the Premier Division, Warrington Town in First Division North and Mickleover Sports in First Division South.

The Wire were the first to collect their prize on Tuesday night before their FA Cup Second Qualifying Round Replay at home to Ossett Town with League Operations Manager Alan Allcock and Bostik's Sponsorship Manager Clive Timmins making the presentation before kick-off.

Shaun Reid's side scooped September's award for winning all four of their league outings and embarking on an FA Cup run. That came to an end when their league rivals emerged as 3-1 winners after extra-time.

September's top flight winners Worksop will be honoured on Saturday when they host Witton Albion at Sandy Lane while the presentation to Mickleover Sports is due to take place next Tuesday night (October 8) before they kick off against Rainworth Miners Welfare.
