Irish forward joins Macclesfield

Macclesfield have signed talented young striker Adrien Thibaut, subject to international clearance.

Thibaut left Irish side Cobh Ramblers in November, having made a number of appearances in the Irish First Division.

The 19-year-old joins a Macclesfield side on the fringes of the Northern Premier League play-off spots.

They currently sit outside of the top five on goal difference ahead of Saturday's home game against beaten 2022/23 play-off finalists Bamber Bridge.

A club statement said: "Thibaut can play in several positions across the frontline and adds crucial depth to the Silkmen forward options.

"Adrien possesses pace in attack and will look to use his pace to get in behind.

"Everyone at Macclesfield FC would like to wish Adrien every success during his time at the Leasing.com Stadium."
