After nine matchdays so far this season in the NPL Youth League's Joma and Chyrso divisions, the spotlight was on the first round of games in NPLFA's cup competition on Wednesday as it got underway for a second season.
Released on Friday nights for students and their friends and families to download, the weekly highlights shows are being produced by professional filming and sports analysis company FilmMyMatch and edited by Mark Quinn Video for a second season in a row thanks to their partnership with the NPLFA to provide professionally filmed footage.
Established in 2012, FilmMyMatch use the latest technology, including extendable tripod technology and high definition cameras, while their in-house team of performance analysts run the rule over every match, providing coaches and players at the NPLFA with the opportunity to improve performance throughout the season.
The NPLFA was founded with the backing of the Football Association at five pilot clubs in September 2014 to provide career pathways into the football industry with youngsters studying on two year BTEC courses.
Still the only league-wide academy in English football combining sport with education and expanded to 12 members clubs, the NPLFA now offers its fourth intake of students the chance to continue their education to degree level after teaming up with Loughborough College this summer to launch a new higher education partnership.
