The NPL Show’s producers reckon they’ve pulled out all the stops for the penultimate edition of the season’s podcasts with a number of new guests joining their regular pundits.
Aptly entitled ‘Squeaky Bum Time’ and dedicated to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, April’s show was released on Thursday ahead of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Produced with the league’s blessing by the team behind FCUM radio since the start of the season and recorded once again at the Magnet Inn in Stockport, the monthly podcasts are presented the station’s Ben Hughes.
Apart from regular pundit Swampy from FCUM, Hughes is joined on the night by Curzon Ashton boss John Flanagan, his son Aaron, a reporter on the Manchester Evening News, the NPL Facebook Group’s James Heyes and Skelmersdale United Director Neil Leatherbarrow.
Three of the big winners from the 2014 NPL Players of the Year Awards also debut on the show - Ossett Town manager John Reed, winner of the Alan Ogley Founder’s Merit Award, pictured, Evo-Stik NPL Supporter of The Year and Mossley fan Kath Field and Leek Town's First Division South Young Player of the Year Jordan Johnson.
