Skelmersdale United's Tommy Lawson follows in the footsteps of Ashton United's Danny Johnson on Saturday when he picks up his Manager of the Month award for Evo-Stik NPL First Division North ahead of Skem's FA Cup First Qualifying Round clash with Clitheroe.

Robins manager Ashton is pictured before Wednesday night's 2-2 draw with AFC Fylde collecting his Premier Division honour from League Operations Manager Alan Allcock.

Johnson won the judges' vote for the first managerial awards of the campaign despite stiff competition from Marine and Rushall Olympic who also maintained one hundred percent starts last month.

It was the second award in days for Johnson who was also presented with a special honour by his club before their 2-1 Bank Holiday Monday home win over Nantwich to mark his 250th game in charge at Surrey Street.

Stamford's Graham Drury will be the last of the Evo-Stik NPL's top managers for August to be honoured when he picks up his award before his team's home league game with Newcastle Town on Saturday September 22.

All three managers oversaw their teams achieving one hundred per cent records in August. Each receives a certificate recording their achievement from sponsors Evo-Stik and a personalised polo shirt and bench top from the league’s official kit supplier Errea.
