Belper Town keeper Aaron Chapman is leaving the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League for Chesterfield after winning a one year contract at the Proact Stadium.

The First Division South Nailers announced on Friday that Chapman is set to join the League Two outfit and say the Spireites are likely to include sending a full strength team to Christchurch Meadow for a future friendly as part of the deal.

The keeper, 22, signed for Nailers manager Peter Duffield from Goole AFC in February 2012. In his short time with the club, he earned rave reviews for his commanding performances and played a major part in helping Duffield's side reach the play-offs this season.

A Belper Town spokesman said: "He leaves Christchurch Meadow with the best wishes of everyone at the club amongst hopes that his break into League football will just be the start of a successful full-time career."
