Keeping fit with: Jon Shaw

In this latest feature, we’re asking some of the players in the BetVictor Northern Premier League how they are keeping fit during isolation.

NHS advice is for people to only leave the house when necessary, regularly wash your hands for 20 seconds and to avoid touching your face, nose or eyes with unwashed hands.

South Shields captain, Jon Shaw said: “Well I have two boys, we do Joe Wicks together first thing in the morning.

“I’m then in an area where I can get out and have a run or do a few miles on my bike. The club sent through some things they’d like us to do to keep fit, mostly body weight circuits and exercises and I’m just doing my best stick to it between the cups of tea and chores around the house!”
