Kendal chairman positive over club's future

By James Gordon

Kendal Town chairman George Gudgeon has outlined his time at the club and plans for its future.

In a lengthy piece on the club’s website, Gudgeon addresses a number of issues including how the club’s debt has been virtually cleared, ground improvements and the time invested in to the club.

Comments are made regarding the club’s average attendance and the financial blow suffered by the postponement of pre-season matches with Carlisle and Morecambe, failure to progress in the FA competitions and a dip in sponsorship revenue.

He also offers thanks to volunteers, sponsors, fans and players for their support.

The strategy for moving forward includes providing opportunities and progression for players in the local area, reducing overall player costs, review admission pricing structure and improve communication.
