Kevin Lynch steps down as Cables boss

Prescot Cables manager Kevin Lynch has resigned from his role at the club, citing personal reasons.

Lynch joined in October 2021 and guided the club to safety as they staved off relegation from the Pitching In NPL West Division last season.

His final game in charge was a 3-2 defeat at Newcastle Town - a result which leaves the club seventh in the league table, four points adrift of the play-off places.

A Prescot Cables statement read: “The club wishes to express its appreciation to Kevin for his hard work and commitment that he has shown during his time at the club and wishes him the best of luck for the future.”

Ste Daley has taken interim charge of the first team, with support from Peter Cumiskey who remains as assistant manager.

The Pesky Bulls are next in action at home to Widnes on Tuesday night.
