Kittrick appointed Belper Town boss

Belper Town have announced Steve Kittrick as their new manager.

Kittrick, who brings over 25 years of managerial experience to the club, replaces former boss Grant Black, who recently left the club by mutual consent.

He will be joined at the Raygar Stadium by Luke Potter, who played in the Football League with Barnsley and has enjoyed a number of managerial and coaching roles.

Kittrick recently left Guiseley, despite almost saving the club from relegation from the National League North following his arrival in April 2022.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, he had a short spell with Matlock Town, and has also spent three seasons at the helm of Scarborough Athletic.

Kittrick, who takes over a Nailers side second-bottom of the Pitching In NPL Premier Division with just one win from their opening nine matches, also boasts time at AFC Telford United earlier in his career.

Discussing his appointment, Kittrick said: “I’m looking forward to getting started. Belper is a well-run club with fantastic facilities.

“The fan base is excellent so I would like to ask you all to get behind the lads and help us get out of the sticky patch we seem to find ourselves in.

“We want to push on up the table towards the play-off positions.”

Nailers chairman Ian Woodward added: “I’m delighted to bring in a manager of Steve’s experience and qualities.

“I’m sure that with his knowledge of the non-league game, he can start to turn things around for the club.”
