Kosylo, pictured collecting his accolade from former Leeds United manager Steve Evans in April at the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's 2016 Players of the Year Awards, switched to the National League North Shaymen on Monday for an undisclosed fee.
The attacking wide-man follows Jon Moran and Elliot Osbourne out of the Weaver Stadium to ply his trade at a higher level after the pair joined Forest Green Rovers and Fleetwood Town respectively.
As well as netting 13 goals and providing countless assists last term, the 23-year-old impressed during the Dabbers run to the last four of the FA Trophy and in their two-legged semi-final defeat to his new employers.
In a statement announcing Kosylo's departure, Nantwich Town chairman Tony Davison told fans he was sad to see him go and hailed the work of manager Phil Parkinson in developing the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club's players.
He said: “We are sorry to see Matty leave but he made it clear to me at the end of last season that he wanted to play at a higher level. Matty clearly impressed FC Halifax in our two-legged FA Trophy semi-final tie and they came calling in recent days.
"I have been delighted with his contribution to Nantwich Town over the past two years and this is in part down to the excellent work done by Phil Parkinson and his team. We have developed great young players like Matty, Jon Moran and Elliot Osbourne who have all now stepped up to a higher level."
He added: "We wish Matty well for the future at FC Halifax Town.”
