Officials at the EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club hailed their women's side for their record-breaking run to the third round proper before their exit last week at the hands of 2010 winners Everton Ladies.
Despite suffering an 8-1 hammering at the hands of the Women's Super League giants at their Dual Seal Stadium, the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division One side attracted a crowd of 411 for the tie which was covered on Yorkshire Television and by the national as well as regional media.
In total, the West Yorkshire outfit scored 15 goals on their record run which started with a 2-1 win over Stockport County back in October. A 5-0 fourth qualifying round win over Blackpool Wren Rovers followed in October before Peterborough were overcome 3-2 in the first round proper in November and Long Eaton 4-3 in the second round last month to set up the Toffees tie.
