Scarborough Athletic have shored up their defender with the capture of defender Dean Lisles from North Ferriby United.
The First Division North's Seadogs announced the 22-year-old's signing by joint managers Paul Foot and Bryan Hughes on Thursday.
Lisles, pictured, kicked off his career as an apprentice at York City before moving on to Guiseley in October 2010 and then North Ferriby United during the 2011-12 campaign.
Foot has been in regular contact with his former club over the deal and believes Lisles will be a good, and timely, signing with injuries blighting their squad.
He said: "Dean will strengthen up our back four and can play at either right-back or centre-half. At the moment we have Steve Ridley, Paul Robson and others carrying injuries, so it is great that we have been able to bring Dean in.
"I have played with Dean and know what he can do and what he will bring to the club. He will help to freshen up our defence and also keep the lads at the back talking to each other."
