Liversedge overhaul defensive options

Liversedge have further bolstered their squad following the signings of Dan Hartley and Jack Cairney.

The pair are the second duo announced by the club in recent days, following the signings of Theo Hudson and Ryan Toulson.

Hartley, 22, joins the club from Tadcaster Albion, making 37 appearances for the Brewers last season, the most of any player in the squad.

The versatile defender attracted interest from many Step 3 clubs but has decided to play his football at the Clayborn for the upcoming season.

Liversedge have also announced the signing of 22-year-old Jack Cairney.

A physical presence on the pitch, Cairney stands at 6'5" tall and is the brother of Fulham player Tom Cairney.

He makes the move to Liversedge following a break from football.
