Macclesfield bring in defensive reinforcements

Macclesfield have announced the signing of FC United of Manchester defender Danny Lafferty.
Lafferty has been an ever-present in the FC United backline since joining from Bury in November.
He has a wealth of Northern Premier League experience, with previous stints at Atherton Collieries and Radcliffe.
A Macclesfield club statement said: "Lafferty has a very strong relationship with manager Michael Clegg and will provide great depth to the defensive options.
"We would like to wish Dan every success during his time at the Leasing.com Stadium."
He could make his Silkmen debut when they visit fellow play-off hopefuls Worksop Town on Saturday.
