Malkin commits to Dabbers

EVO-STIK League Premier Division leaders Nantwich Town have handed a contract to striker Joe Malkin.

Malkin, 20, joined the club in the summer from Cammell Laird and scored five goals in December.

He told the club's official website: "It’s an exciting time for me, I can only thank Dave [Cooke] for giving me the chance to be where I am now.

"It’s only a bonus to be around players with such quality, they’ve taught me a lot since I’ve arrived, and I’m very excited for the future.

"Hopefully we can clinch promotion and test ourselves in the next division up, as the ground and facilities are excellent and most of the players and staff have worked at a higher level.

"I’d like to keep learning and improving and I think that will be best achieved at Nantwich."
