Marines sign Liverpool goalkeeper

Marine AFC have announced the loan signing of goalkeeper Daniel Atherton from Premier League leaders Liverpool FC.
Atherton, 20, joins on loan until the end of the season and is the second goalkeeper to join the side from Liverpool, following Shamal George earlier in the season.
"Daniel is another graduate of Rainhill High School and is seen as an excellent prospect with good reflexes," the club said.
"He is a member of the U23s squad and appeared for the first-team during the pre-season tour in 2019.
"We thank Liverpool FC for their assistance in arranging the loan and welcome Daniel to the Marine Travel Arena."
