Matlock pair are latest academy graduates

Matlock Town pair Ethan Knowles and Nathan Clarke became the latest NPLFA students to make their senior team debuts this week.

Second year student Knowles played from the start for 57 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Basford, while Clarke was introduced as a substitute in the 69th minute.

Clarke’s fellow first year student Alex Phillipson was also included in the squad for the first time.

Current second year student Ashton Hall and former student Jordan Pierrepont both played 90 minutes for the Derbyshire side.
