Taking place at Marston Road on Friday 4 November, the event is being organised by Stripes, the Stafford Rangers Supporters Trust, with all profits going to the newly promoted EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club.
Former Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stoke City and Wales star George Berry, now a commercial executive at the Professional Footballers Association, has been booked as the guest speaker for the three course dinner in the Lotus Suite. Berry finished his playing career at Rangers before going to become commercial manager and later to manage the club.
Tickets for the 'smart attire' event which will include a raffle and quiz on the night are priced at £25 and are now on sale at the club. For more details, email non executive committee member Phil Bennett at: p.bennett1@ntlworld.com.
While Stafford cannot confirm a definite date for their first game after the club's records were destroyed in the First World War, it is thought to have been played around the end of October or in early November 1876.
