Monday's First Division North action review

By David Watters

Witton Albion clawed themselves back from two goals down to stop Harrogate Railway Athletic climbing out of the bottom two in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's First Division North on Monday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Nathan Curtis’ first goal for the club gave Railway a 28th minute at Station View lead before Dan Thirkell converted a corner two minutes into the second half to put the hosts in a commanding position.

Albion halved the deficit within seconds, however, as Joe Newton beat Chandler Hallwood at his near post. And the visitors saw their pressure rewarded 14 minutes from time when Rob Hopley headed in a free-kick off the upright.
