Monday's Premier Division action review

By David Watters

There was a definite end-of-season feel to Monday's only game in the EVO-STIK League Premier at the Don Amott Arena between Mickleover Sports and Stalybridge Celtic, until the last minute at least, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

There was not many of the small crowd left in the ground when Luke Ashworth brought down Matthew Barnes-Homer in the area in the 90th minute to kick off the drama.

Ashworth was shown a straight red and when Andy Dales took the resulting penalty, teenage Bradford City loanee George Sykes-Kenworthy made a fine save from Dales` spot-kick, only for Evan Garnett to react quickest to net the rebound and win the game for the Derbyshire side.
