A week into 'Movember' and Grantham Town are reporting that the ‘taches are bristling nicely at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium.

The Gingerbreads management team, pictured, are raising awareness of testicular and prostate cancer. Along with thousands of other men across the UK, they are getting their growths over the month of November sponsored.

So far £60 has been pledged to the Gingerbreads management with a total of £275 more known to be coming for charity from Mossley trio Stephen Porter, John Huxall and Ian Russell. Evo-Stik NPL First Division South sides Coalville Town and Halesowen are two more clubs with fans and players taking part.

At the start of the month the League’s official fans Facebook group launched a campaign for clubs to raise £20,000 between them for Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute for Cancer Research by encouraging fans, players and staff to grow their facial hair.

Last November more than £70 million pounds was raised as more than a 100,000 men nationwide took part. This year the group say they want to show what a league from the North of England can do when united.
