EVO-STIK League Loughborough Dynamo have appointed Dave Clay as their new joint reserve team manager and youth development officer.

Dynamo announced this week that Clay is teaming up with current second string manager Ritchie Robinson when the new season kicks off. The First Division South club’s U18s already play under Dynamo’s banner and Clay will also be working to further integrate more junior sides into the club’s structure.

Loughborough Dynamo manager Tom Brookbanks hailed the news this week and described Clay as a ‘huge asset’ to the future development of players for the Leicestershire outfit.

Brookbanks said: "I am delighted to have secured the services of Dave Clay, who will be a huge asset to the club. Dave has a very important role in bringing together the youth and the senior section which has not been happening in the past.

"I am very pleased that some exciting young former Football League Academy players have committed themselves to Dynamo Reserves. As Manager I am very excited about these developments, as we will now have the opportunity to bring our own youngsters through the development system."

He added: "This worked very successfully for me at Carlton Town, and I am delighted to have secured the services of Dave Clay, who will be a huge asset to the club. My thanks also go to Donny Bennett and Richard McNamee for helping this exciting development take place."
