Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine's efforts to boost their crowds and make football affordable to their local community has taken another step forward with the second half of the season underway.

Tenants and staff from leading housing association One Vision are now being offered cut-priced £5 entry to home league matches at the Arriva Stadium. The Crosby based Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Mariners say the deal is designed to attract new fans and make football as affordable as possible during tough economic times.

Marine's move to boost support for Kevin Lynch's promotion hunting side comes after the launch of an initiative earlier this season that has seen season ticket holders from Everton, Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers also gaining entry to the Arriva for a fiver.

One Vision Housing manages over 11,000 homes in Sefton, employing more than 400 staff to look after its 15,000 plus tenants living across Merseyside. It's maintenance arm, Sovini, is Marine's back of shirt sponsor.

Mariners Chairman Paul Leary is delighted to extend their links with the company and turn more of their tenants into club supporters. "We are keen to make football as affordable as possible for the local community," he said. "Our manager Kevin Lynch has put together an exciting young team which is bidding for a promotion play-off place. We hope One Vision tenants will be encouraged to pay us a visit and enjoy football for a fiver."

One Vision's Housing Community Development Manager Louise Williams, said: "We hope that our residents will take up the opportunity of discounted ticket prices, to go along and support a fantastic, community-focused club."
