Spennymoor Town have a new physio on board to help look after the EVO-STIK League club's reserves.

The First Divison North's Moors announced on Thursday that Andrew Wilkinson has joined the medical team at The Brewery Field, pictured, for the remainder of the 2014-15 campaign.

Andrew Oates, the first team physiotherapist at last season's Northern League champions, had been looking for a young and developing physio to join him and take on responsibility for their second string.

Wilkinson is currently studying towards becoming a chartered physiotherapist and is looking to gain experience within football. Oates believes he is ideally suited to a role he can grow into while continuing his studies.

He said: "I would like to welcome Andrew to the club. I feel he needs an opportunity and I see a lot of myself in him when I first started. I was given a chance by Jason early in my career and it's nice to now help someone the way I was."

* The Moors have also announced that they'll be charging £6 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for U16s attending their Durham Challenge Cup clash with Darlington on Tuesday 21 October. Officials say there will no segregation in place for the 7.45pm kick off.
