After setting a deadline of Friday 21 October for possible successors to former joint managers Stuart Mellish and Lee Smith, officials at the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club are hoping to quickly complete the recruitment of a new manager and assistant manager in order to maintain the club's momentum this season following promotion.
Before Saturday's 1-0 reverse at Halesowen Town and the deadline's passing, Warrington Town chairman Toby Macormac told fans they were determined to appoint candidates with the ambitions to match their own expectations.
Pictured with Mellish and Smith, Macormac, said: "The club will be appointing both positions to give us the best possible chance to move forward with a solid hand-picked partnership.
"The club has ambitions to continue moving up the footballing pyramid and we expect those who are applying for the job to match our ambitions. The selection process will be swift to enable the successful candidates to settle into the club as we maintain our goal of aiming for the play-offs."
A seventh defeat of the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division campaign at the hands of Workington cost Mellish and Smith their jobs after the pair delivered promotion last season as the successors to Shaun Reid.
