Nine clubs set for stadium seminar

The sports turf specialists, currently preparing to crown the winners of inaugural GreenFields Pitch of the Year Awards at the EVO-STIK League's 2017-18 end of season awards, are heading to Hyde United's home with the EVO-STIK League's architectural partners and fair play awards sponsors FWP and experts from Sedulo to host an "everything you need to know" seminar offering support and advice from 6pm.

Nine clubs are sending nearly 30 delegates to the event at Ewen Fields which closes at 8.30pm and includes dinner. As well as comprehensive advice on stadium and pitch development, representatives from financial finding experts Sedulo will be on hand to talk about standard funding routes and the latest alternatives.

FWP offer architecture, project management, structural engineering, interior design, building surveying, quantity surveying and CDM consultancy services. Based in Preston and with an office in Manchester, FWP take pride in working with clubs from the beginning to the end of their stadium development journey.

Appointed last summer as official pitch partners for the historic 2017-18 50th anniversary campaign, GreenFields are looking forward to unveiling the top rated surface in each of the NPL's three divisions at Blackpool's Hilton Hotel in June after the competition's judges visited the homes of nine finalists in April.

Hednesford Town, Stourbridge and Whitby Town representing the top flight, Colwyn Bay, Tadcaster Albion and Trafford in EVO-STIK League North and Belper Town, Loughborough Dynamo and Stamford in EVO-STIK League South, are all in the running to collect the inaugural accolades on Saturday 16 June after first being nominated by their fellow clubs.

As well as the honour of being the first recipients since the league teamed up with GreenFields to offer advice on maintaining grass surfaces and surface solutions for 3G and hybrid turf pitches, the winners will also be presented with £500 vouchers to redeem against future maintenance materials or services from the specialists.
