Two of the division's newcomers, Bradford Park Avenue and Macclesfield, will go head-to-head at Horsfall Stadium.

The hosts were relegated from the National League North last season, while Macclesfield secured their place in the Northern Premier League after being crowned champions of the Pitching In NPL West Division last time around.

Two other promoted sides, Worksop Town and Workington, begin their seasons with a trip to FC United of Manchester and home game against Ashton United respectively.

Basford United, who returned to the Northern Premier League following lateral movement at the end of the 2022/23 season, start with a home game against Morpeth Town.

Fellow lateral movers Ilkeston Town are on the road, with Gary Hayward's side visiting the Yorkshire Coast to face Marske United.

Other stand-out ties from the opening weekend include a meeting between Gainsborough Trinity and Marine - two sides who will hope to be in and around the play-off picture, come the end of the season.

And having both fallen just short of a top-five spot last season, Warrington Rylands and Radcliffe will look to get their respective seasons off to a positive start when they meet at Gorsey Lane.
