NPL round-up | Saturday 9 December

New Blues signing Joe Adams scored a hat-trick, while top scorer Adama Sidibeh took his tally for the season to 11 with two of his own at The Hive Arena.

Michael Clegg's side have won three of their last four, scoring 11 goals in that time, and have lost just two of their opening 19 matches in the league.

Elsewhere, Ashton United are up to third after running out 2-1 winners at Basford United.

Goals from Nathan Lowe and Jason Gilchrist were enough to see the Robins climb up a place in the league table and leave Basford outside of the relegation places on goal difference alone.

Hyde United and Bamber Bridge played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. The hosts were reliant on a stoppage-time equaliser from Jack Redshaw, who saw his initial penalty saved but headed home the rebound.

There were wins on the road for Ilkeston Town and bottom-of-the-table at Gainsborough Trinity and Bradford Park Avenue respectively.

The final game of the day saw the points shared between Workington and Morpeth Town.

The Highwaymen had twice led on the road thanks to goals from Nic Bollado and Sam Hodgson, but they were unable to return to Northumberland with all three points to show for their efforts.

Three games in the Premier Division were postponed on Saturday - Marine's trip to FC United of Manchester, Marske United against Worksop Town and Whitby Town's meeting with play-off-chasing Guiseley.
