NPLFA sponsor their champions!

Mickleover Sports have signed the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in the club’s history with the Northern Premier League Football Academy as well as banking contributions from two other major sponsors.

Current NPLFA champions Mickleover Sports unveiled the EVO-STIK League's ground-breaking academy as the new front of shirt sponsor of their home and away strips for the 2018-19 season ahead of this weekend's action and Matlock Town's arrival at Station Road in the top flight.

The deal also marks the start of the club’s new partnership with Burton-based kit manufacturer TAG and the two other kit sponsors involved are leading Derby-based design and print company Escape Design And Print and Monetise, a Melbourne-based lead generation and performance marketing company.

The EVO-STIK League Premier Division club's chairman Don Amott told fans in a club statement that he was "delighted" with the partnership which also sees the launch of a new range of polo shirts with the profits from sales going to their local air ambulance charity.

Amott said: “I’m absolutely delighted with the design and quality of the new kit and training gear from TAG, and am excited by our relationship with the NPL Football Academy who are supporting us with the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in the club’s history. This once again underlines the ambition we have here at Mickleover Sports Football Club."

The NPLFA was founded with the backing of the Football Association at five pilot clubs in September 2014 to provide career pathways into the football industry with youngsters studying on two year BTEC courses.

Still the only league-wide academy in English football combining sport with education and now expanded to 12 members clubs, the NPLFA is offering its fourth intake of students this season the chance to continue their education to degree level after teaming up with Loughborough College last summer to launch a new higher education partnership.
