Ossett United bolster backline

Exciting left-back Shadrach Onwubiko has joined Ossett United.

The versatile defender becomes the Sheepicorns' fourth summer signing, and has been praised by manager Grant Black for being “big, quick and powerful”.

He spent last season at Chesterfield, and prior to that came through the ranks at Shamrock Rovers in Ireland.

On joining Ossett United, Onwubiko said: “I'm really excited to be joining Ossett United. I'm looking forward to gaining more experience and playing at a higher level.

"I know that this club has a great reputation for developing players and providing opportunities for growth, so I feel confident that I'll be able to achieve my goals here.

"I'm also excited to play against tough opponents and push myself to be the best player I can be. I can't wait to get started and see what the future holds.”
