Ossett United sign new midfielder

Former Cleethorpes Town midfielder Derry Robson has joined Ossett United.

Robson has been with Cleethorpes for less than a month, but has now decided to move onto pastures new after linking up with the Sheepicorns.

He made four appearances in all competitions for his previous club.

Robson becomes manager Grant Black’s fifth signing in eight days.

On the new arrival, Ossett United’s boss said: “I’ve worked with ‘Dez’ for 4 years now, on and off. He is a real box-to-box midfielder who can play out wide and at full-back.

“He offers loads of energy and quality, and has experience of what it takes to win promotion from this level, doing so last season.

“With that, he can help what is a young squad here at Ossett United.”
