Mellor joins on loan from Hyde United, as the side 4th in the Pitching In Northern Premier Division look to give the 18-year-old midfielder some experience.

Mellor’s made 3 appearances for Hyde this season in all competitions but hasn’t featured since November.

Ossett manager David Brown said: “We are delighted to welcome Reece to the club for the remainder of the season. I can’t wait to see him pull on an Ossett shirt.”

Jordao Costa, a 21-year-old winger, joins having recently played for 1874 Northwich. His only league appearance this season for the Greens came in January’s 5-0 loss at Widnes.

On Costa, Brown was full of praise: "He looks a real live wire, quick direct and full of flair."
