Warrington Town's double winning youth team are set to celebrate their success with an open top bus ride courtesy of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier league club's local bus company and sponsor Network Warrington.

The First Division North's star youngsters, pictured, are to be honoured after winning the Northwest Youth Alliance League title and the Neil Thomason League Cup.

They will travel from Network Warrington's bus depot on Wilderspool Causeway to nearby Priestley College - who sponsor the team - on Wednesday June 12, setting off at 2.45pm.

The U18s lifted the league title in only their second full season, while also successfully defending the Neil Thomason Cup for a second successive season. A number of the team are also students at Priestley College which has also agreed to sponsor the club's newly formed reserve team next season.

Supporters are invited to attend the event and are advised to meet at the college entrance just before 3pm to welcome the team.

Meanwhile, the Wire announced on Friday that the club's Youth team will be travelling to Lisburn in Northern Ireland on August 3 to take on Crewe United in the Styles and Co Peace Cup as they bid to make it a hat-trick of cup successes. Last season's match at Cantilever Park ended in a 0-0 draw, with Warrington allowing their Irish friends to take the trophy back to Lisburn.

* Following a 25 per cent increase in season ticket sales, the Wire's officials have decided to extend their 'Early Bird' season ticket offer until the end of June with adult season tickets on offer at £99 instead £120 and concessions at £75 instead of £90.
