Player injury holds up Ravens win

Skelmersdale United and Coalville Town had to wait more than an hour to finish their Tuesday night clash in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's top flight following a serious player injury.

Ravens midfielder Alex Troke was expected to spend the night at Liverpool's Fazakerley Hospital after he was badly hurt with two minutes to go and his side leading 2-1 at Stormy Corny.

Medics refused to move the former Carlton Town player before the arrival of doctor to check his condition after he was involved in an accidental clash of heads with Skem stopper Martin Fearon in the 88th minute.

The sides finally kicked off just before 10.45pm to finish the game after Troke had left for hospital in an ambulance with a suspected neck injury and concussion.
