Pontefract Collieries sign Liversedge title-winner

Porritt, who can operate at full-back and in midfield, helped Liversedge win the Pitching In NPL East Division last season.

He came through the Huddersfield Town academy, before having spells at Lincoln United, Harrogate Town and Farsley Celtic.

Porritt later joined Ossett Albion, who merged to form Ossett United.

He then featured for Tadcaster Albion before joining Liversedge.

“I think what excites me the most is seeing the squad that we’ve got going into this season,” he said. “I believe play-offs should be a minimum expectation for us, if we do as well as we're capable of.

“Who doesn’t want to be playing in those important games come the business end of the season?”
