Mickleover Sports Chairman Stuart Clarke paid tribute to Dick Pratley on Tuesday after confirming that the most successful manager in the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South club's history had left by mutual agreement.

Assistant first team coach Colin Hoyle also departed The Raygar Stadium following a meeting of the club's management committee on Monday night when Pratley, pictured, failed to win a vote of confidence.

The Sports Chairman said: "They were the two most successful managers we've had after winning back to back promotions before relegation last season and it is with regret that we decided to call it a day."

Third from bottom Mickleover take on Halesowen Town at home on Saturday and Clarke said youth team coaches Dave Chambers and Dave Mckenzie would take charge as the hunt began to find Pratley's permanent replacement.

Pratley joined Micleover in 2006 as assistant to Martin Rowe and took over the reins after Rowe’s departure. He subsequently took Sports to two successive promotions, from the Northern Counties East into the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South and from there into the the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division before relegation last term.
