Premier Division preview: Who will start 2023 on a high?

A full round of fixtures will take place in the Northern Premier League on Monday afternoon as the footballing calendar rolls into the New Year.

At the summit of the division, South Shields will look to stretch their three-point advantage when they visit Morpeth Town, one of four teams who were without a fixture on Boxing Day due to a waterlogged pitch.

There are also a number of local derbies to look forward to, including Hyde United’s visit of Ashton United and away trips for Warrington Rylands and Warrington Town to Marine and Nantwich Town respectively.

All fixtures will take place on Monday 2 January at 3pm, unless stated otherwise.
