The pick of the action saw Matlock Town survive a late fightback to win 3-2 at Stalybridge Celtic and move level on points with fifth-placed Marine.
The Gladiators had led thanks to first half goals from Alex Byrne and Harry Wakefield, before Karl Demidh added a third six minutes after the break.
Celtic did pull two back through Harry Benns and Alfie Henderson, but it wasn’t enough as they suffered a ninth defeat of the season at home.
Meanwhile, Guiseley missed the chance to move into the play-off spots after they were held to a goalless draw at home to Lancaster City.
Further down the division, there were wins for Liversedge and Marske United.
Sedge climbed off the foot of the Northern Premier League table as goals in either half from Nathan Cartman and Ben Atkinson helped them to a 2-0 win at Morpeth Town.
As for Marske, they were 2-1 winners at Nantwich Town, with both their goals coming in the first half, courtesy of Jacob Day and Donald Chimalilo.
The final game of the round saw Whitby Town pick up their fourth successive win as they battled to a 2-1 win at home to Ashton United.
All the goals came inside the final 20 minutes, with Harry Green and Brad Fewster putting the Seasiders 2-0 up before James Baillie grabbed a late consolation for the Robins.
That result leaves Whitby seven points adrift of the play-off places.
