Prestigious status renewed by FA

Ramsbottom United will be on the list of proud Northern Premier League clubs to have attained the Football Association’s prestigious Charter Standard Adult Club status again next season.

The Rams, fresh from celebrating their stars of the 2017-18 season at the EVO-STIK League North club's annual awards night, announced they'd passed their first annual accreditation check to renew the status they earned last year this weekend.

In a statement on Saturday, officials told fans they were now looking forward to receiving a new certificate and plaque to display following an inspection of the facilities at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium at one of their last fixtures of the season by officials from the Lancashire FA.

Club development is an integral part of the FA’s National Game Strategy and the EVO-STIK League has been encouraging all members clubs to achieve the first rung on the governing body’s charter standard ladder with FA Charter Standard Adult Club status.

The Lancashire outfit are following in the footsteps of numerous NPL clubs to earn accreditation in recent seasons after passing the FA’s strict criteria to demonstrate their on-going commitment to raising standards and providing positive experiences for players, coaches, referees, administrators and volunteers alike.
