Race night for fundraising Blues

Leek Town are hosting a race night for fans to raise funds for the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League club's second string.

Officials at Harrison Park say their previously popular "Night at the Races" is returning next weekend to take place at the Prince of Wales pub in Leek on Saturday January 17 from 6.30pm.

There will be eight runners in the eight races being run which will be shown on a big screen at the pub for fund-raising fans to enjoy a flutter on.

Seven of the races will also be sponsored at a cost of £10 each, along with all the horses running at £5 a go. As well as bets taken on the night for each race, organisers say cash and other prizes will also be up for grabs.
