Rangers laugh off postponement

Stafford Rangers displayed the club's sense of humour today after laughing off the late postponment of tomorrow's (Saturday) preseason friendly at Stones Dominoes.

In a statement released to fans of the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division side a spokesman said: "Our match against Stone Dominoes is off due to our wonderful summer..."

Heavy rain is falling across the country today and more is expected tomorrow, putting many fixtures in doubt.

New Evo-Stik NPL outfit Ramsbottom United, whose ground was under two feet of water last weekend after a local river burst it's banks, say they are on high alert once again after already completing one major clear-up operation.
