Real Ale Festival at Carlton

Nottinghamshire club to host in July

Carlton Town chairman Mick Garton has announced that the club is set to hold a major summer event at Stoke Lane with the clubs first ever Real Ale & Cider festival set to take place over the weekend of 13-15th July.

The event is to be run in conjunction with new local brewers Navigation Brewery, with the charge for entry going towards the club.

Chairman Mick Garton told the Evo-Stik NPL website, “This will be our big summer event and my hope is that it will be so successful we can make it annual.

“This seems to have really caught peoples imagination, I will ask our commercial team to find supporters for all the Ales and Ciders that will be available at £50 a time on a similar basis to the kit support scheme and I will attempt to engage the club, supporters, sponsors and friends to back this event with a passion.”

Dave Willans from Great Northern Inns – a partner of the event – said, “There will be new ales from ourselves but also a lot of ales from various breweries not before tested locally and certainly not on that side of town.’
