Mark Reed confirmed his status as a Buxton legend on Wednesday with his 200th goal for the club.
The 30-year old - who is the club's record goal-scorer - netted the Bucks only goal in their penalty shootout win over Mickleover Sports in the Derbyshire Senior Cup semi-final.
Now in his third spell at the club having re-joined from Chester earleir this season, Reed's milestone has come up in his 317th game for the Silverlands outfit.
He initially joined the Bucks while at university at Sheffield in October 2002 and became an instant favourite with the Silverlands ‘faithful,’ earning two Player Of The Season awards and Non-League Paper’s national Player of the Year award in 2006. His remarkable goalscoring was at its peak as the club rose through the divisions, netting 42 goals in 2005/06 and 36 goals in 2006/07 as the club acheived back-to-back promotions.
As well as his spell at the Exacta Stadium, Reed spent time with Vauxhall Motors and Cammell Laird.
