Returning Blues boost Casswell

Leek Town

Leek Town manager Casswell is hoping to have a number of key players back in contention for Tuesday’s Evo-Stik NPL First Division South clash at home to Loughborough Dynamo.

Casswell has cover in all departments with Tom Urwin returning to the squad after missing Saturday's 3-3 draw at Kidsgrove Athletic to attend a family wedding. Midfielder Karl Charlton could also return after missing the trip to the Potteries due to work commitments.

Adam Roberts and Dan Cope are both said to be chomping at the bit after coming on as subs at the weekend. Transfer listed keeper Danny Roberts is also in contention along with new loan signing Dan Partridge. The defender is at Harrison Park for a month from Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Ilkeston.

But Casswell is waiting on the fitness of striker Peter Wright who has a calf injury and Anthony Danylyk who’s recovering from a knee problem.

* Leek are inviting supporters join them for a drink and head for their Blues Bar from 4pm on Christmas Eve. Spokesman Michael Cope said the Blues were extending an open invitation to all Leek Town supporters, members and junior teams.

He said: "The club is working extremely hard behind the scenes to make Leek a family club and although Christmas Eve is a busy day for everyone, it’s a good chance to meet up and have a Christmas drink with everyone connected with the Leek Town family. It doesn’t matter if you call in for one pint in half an hour or a gallon in a couple of hours, it would be great to see everyone."
