Rylands bring in new goalkeeper

Salford City goalkeeper Joel Torrance has joined Warrington Rylands on a youth loan until January 2023.

The 20-year-old follows fellow Development Squad player Kelly Nmai, who linked up with the Northern Premier League side last week.

The former Altrincham stopper had been a regular name in the matchday squad after a brief loan spell at Colne last season, and made his debut in August when he came off the bench against Liverpool Under-21s in the Papa Johns Trophy.

Rylands - who were forced to name midfielder Steve Irwin in-between the sticks in midweek after Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Sam Tickle was recalled by his parent club - are in action away at Nantwich Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday afternoon.
