Neil Parsley has brought striker Kevin Sanasy back to Throstle Nest after a six year spell away from the Leeds club, writes Mark Rawlinson.
Sanasy most recently played for Stocksbridge Park Steels and made his debut as a 76th minute substitute in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Clitheroe, pictured. The forward could feature again on Tuesday night when Trafford arrive at Throstle Next for an Evo-Stik NPL First Division North league clash.
Sanasy first joined Farsley Celtic back in 2005 after being released from Bradford City and was part of the 2005-06 team who won promotion to the Conference North. He left Farsley at the end of that season and has since played for a number of West Yorkshire Non-League clubs including Guiseley, Worksop Town, FC Halifax Town and Bradford Park Avenue.
The 27-year-old’s arrival was perfectly timed as Parsley has seen a run of injuries decimate his side in recent weeks. Simeon Bambrook, Ben Jones, Aaron Hardy and Mark Jackson have all picked up knocks and are unlikely to return for at least seven days.
