Mossley hit seven without reply against basement side Garforth Town to maintain their healthy eight-point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North table on Saturday, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Seel Park demolition job was started by Sam Madeley after just seven minutes and goals followed at fairly regular intervals. Kayde Coppin added the second after 20 minutes and Jason Gorton the third right on half-time.

Shaun Williams made it 4-0 with six minutes of the second half gone, David Young made it nap two minutes later and then Brad Yearwood on 73 minutes and Ashley Young two minutes from time completed the rout and take Mossley's goal tally to forty-seven from seventeen games.

Clitheroe are second after winning 2-1 at New Mills, who led through Luke Horrocks' 12th minute effort.

But Danny Mahoney bagged a brace – he first from the penalty spot just before half-time – and then four minutes from time, to win it for the Blues.

Skelmersdale United won by the same scoreline at home to Radcliffe Borough, who also led through Tom Brooks after 17 minutes.

Gary Burnett equalised after 22 minutes and Adam Morning scored what proved to be the winner immediately after half-time.

And Trafford made his a hat-trick of 2-1 wins to go fourth against Ramsbottom United, who are now sixth.

Michael Oates' nineteenth goal of the season gave the home side the lead on 41 minutes and, after Andy Dawson had equalised in the 69th minute, Lee Jackson grabbed Trafford's winner two minutes later.

Trafford moved above Farsley AFC, who were beaten 2-1 at Warrington Town.

The sides went in level at 0-0 at the break and as the second half began, Farsley were quick out the blocks and Adam Priestley broke the deadlock after firing past home keeper Andy Robertson to give the visitors the lead on 49 minutes.

Warrington's Mark Beesley drew his side level as the striker on loan from Nantwich Town looked to have earned the hosts a point with 10 minutes to go. But three minutes later, he secured the three points for Shaun Reid's side by hitting the back of the net for the second time.

Goole AFC continue to struggle and remain second-bottom after losing 3-0 at Irongate against Bamber Bridge, whose Lennie Reid gave them a 6th minute lead.

Ali Waddecar eventually doubled that 13 minutes from time, with Craig Carney making it 3-0 with a couple of minutes remaining.

Burscough produced a great comeback to win 5-2 at the Tameside Stadium against Curzon Ashton.

Matt Purcell gave the home side the boost of an early fourth minute lead. But they weren't able to make the most of that and Niall Cummins levelled eight minutes later and Phil Clarke gave the Linnets the lead after 25 minutes.

Cummins made it 3-1 with five minutes of the first half remaining and goals from Will Jones on 67 minutes and Jamil Adams seven minutes from time gave the visitors a 5-1 lead that Scott Metcalfe reduced in stoppage time.

A solid performance and back-to-back wins for Lancaster City after completing an early season double over Harrogate Railway Athletic.

Goals from Tom Kilifin on 38 minutes and Danny Gregson on 63 earned City all three points at Giant Axe, despite Harrogate's late consolation from Daniel Hull.

Joy at last with a first home ein of the season for Wakefield, who beat Cammell Laird 2-1 with goals from Martin Ormesher after five minutes and Ross Hardaker on 57, rendering Mike Grogan's 76th minute reply as only a consolation.

Ossett Town enjoyed a good 2-0 win at Moor Lane against Salford City, with Chris Fisher putting the Yorkshire side ahead after 42 minutes and Grant Darley quickly doubling that before the break.

Town's neighbours Ossett Albion, however, couldn't find a goal as they shared a 0-0 Dimple Wells draw with Prescot Cables.
