In-form EVO-STIK Northern Premier League First Division North leaders Darlington 1883 recorded an eleventh successive win with another fine performance at Seel Park against Mossley AFC on Saturday, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

It was 2-0 at the break, the recalled Terry Galbraith giving Quakers the lead midway through the half with a low strike from the corner of the area. And right on half-time, Gary Brown exchanged passes with Adam Mitchell before Galbraith collected possession and fired hard and low into the net despite Mossley keeper Andrew Farrimond getting hand to it. And Stephen Thompson made it virtually game over when he added a third with only two minutes of the second half played.

Droylsden are second after a 2-0 Butcher`s Arms win over Lancaster City.

Ben Hampson gave the Bloods an eighth minute lead that Dale Wright doubled eight minutes later. The Bloods were able to extend their advantage over third-placed Salford City after the Ammies were beaten 2-1 at mid-table Clitheroe, for whom Jason Hart after 32 minutes and David Lynch just before half-time, outgunned Ashley Dunn`s 87th minute reply.

Northwich Victoria are fourth after a 2-1 win at Queensgate against Scarborough Athletic.

Gary Bradshaw gave the hosts a great start with a goal inside four minutes but Brian Summerskill and Bohan Dixon won it for Vics in the final 20 minutes.

First half goals from Alistair Waddecar and two from defender Glen Steel saw Bamber Bridge come in 3-0 up at half-time at fifth-placed Spennymoor Town. Waddecar got his hat-trick in the second with Paul McKenna also scoring. Spennymoor got a consolation from Andy Stephenson two minutes from time in the 6-1 rout.

Padiham are still rock-bottom after going down to a 2-1 defeat at Dimple Wells to Ossett Albion, for whom Rob Bordman bagged a brace in the ninth and 62nd minutes – cancelling out Brett Ormerod`s 32nd minute reply for the Storks.

Battling second-bottom New Mills earned a 4-4 draw at Parkside against Kendal Town.

Craig Carney scored the only goal of the opening half after 22 minutes to give the home side the lead. Porya Ahmadi levelled three minutes after the break and Warren Gaskin gave the Millers the lead two minutes later before James Hampson put the visitors 3-1 up on the hour-mark. But Jordan Connerton seven minutes later, Nicholas Rogan on 89 minutes and Tom Watson a minute later again gave Kendal a 4-3 lead that Dan Forde cancelled out in stoppage time.

There were seven goals at Stainton Park where Radcliffe Borough edged out Harrogate Railway.

Nathan Cartman`s 20th minute penalty for Rail and Sam Grimshaw`s 44th minute equaliser saw the sides go into the break all-square. Malachi Farquarson and Adam Baker then put the visitors 3-1 up by the 62nd minute, only for Chris Mason with two and Malachi Slaven to win it for Boro.

Farsley AFC moved into sixth after edging out struggling Prescot Cables 2-1 at Throstle Nest with goals from Spencer Harris and Lewis Nightingale in the final three minutes after Cables had led from the 28th minute, courtesy of Jack Phillips.
